It's been awhile!

Sorry for the delay. There hasn't been much to report lately, and yet I have been very busy!

I've been knee deep in volunteer work lately. I just finished 2 films festivals... Sprockets International Film Festival for Children, and Hot Docs. Hot Docs just finished up this past weekend, and our party is actually tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again. I saw some fantastic films also!!!! Next on the list is a fundraising gala this Saturday evening for the Starlight Starbright Foundation. Then I guess there isn't anything else on the agenda until North By Northeast.

A couple weekends back Liz and I headed to Montreal to see my cousin Christopher graduate from Military basic training. Liz was born in Quebec, and she still has a lot of her relatives there from her dad's side of the family. We had a brilliant time with them all weekend. We had a chance to visit old Montreal, and I think we both said we'll be back there for sure. My aunt and uncle came up for the graduation and it was really good to see them again. I haven't been home to Nova Scotia since Christmas and I'm really missing it the past little while.

Joshua is 3.5 months old now! and growing like a weed. He's amazing. I can't wait to see him next weekend. This weekend I'm busy working with Kiddi Corp.

That's about all for now. Take care.

More stuff!

Hi all,

I don't even know if anyone reads this bloody thing. Here I go anyway. Last weekend I spend at Rick and Patty's again (surprise surprise!) Had a great weekend helping out with little Joshua. He's already 14 pounds!!!

This coming weekend is a bit of a busy one. Friday I have a job interview at noon. Then I'm heading to Chris's birthday party in the evening. I have to be sure not to drink too much as I have to be down at the British Isle Show for 9am the next day. I tend to drink A LOT when out with Chris though. Plus this is one of the last times we'll be out together I'm sure before he goes off and marries... Saturday like I said I'm off to the BIS with the great folks at Corrie Canuck. I'm looking forward to meeting some new peeps, and getting together with the old ones again. I have a few things to do in the afternoon before I meeting up with everyone again at a pub on the Danforth for some grub and drinks. I even talked Tracey into coming along.

Sunday I'm hoping to get out to Rick's again. I'll have to wait and see how that pans out. I don't want to bother them.

My cousin Susan was in a pretty nasty car accident, but she's good. There's a tonne of damage to her car though, and the one who hit her not only has no insurance, but she doesn't have her license! craziness!!!!! They are lucky nobody was hurt. I saw a picture of the car, and WOW! amazing.....

I'm in love!!!!

Yes you heard right. Did you ever think you'd hear (see) me say those words?

Spent the weekend at Rick's, and fell in love with little Joshua!!!! he's the sweetest, most precious, most adorable little baby! It was a wonderful weekend. Of course he's only 3 weeks old so spends most of the time sleeping. I got to change him, and feed him, and put him to bed. I loved every second of it. I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot more time out there!

A whole lot of nothing!

Hi all,

Well my last day at Media Express was last Friday. People keep asking me how I feel about it. I don't know how to answer that really. I'm kind of sad as I'll miss everyone at the office (again). I'll keep in touch though! That's one thing I'm good at, and that's keeping in touch. I got along with everyone in that office, and I'll miss them dearly.

I am however very excited to be heading out to Ajax to see little baby Joshua this coming weekend. He's absolutely beautiful!!!!! already 10 pounds, and just 2.5 weeks old. I'm getting into scrapbooking, and I think one of my first is going to be a baby one for him. Something he can have once he gets older. Rick made a great video of his first few days on DVD. I'll put that in it, along with anything I can get my hands on. I'm looking forward to it. First I'd like to take a scrapbooking workshop to give me a head start, and help me figure out what is needed to start.

Lots happening

Happy New Year!!! so I'm a little late, whatelse is new?

I had a pretty good Christmas. I went home to Halifax for a week and did the family thing. I hadn't been home in awhile so the trip was long overdue. It was good to see everyone, and they are all doing well.

My cousin and his wife (who live in Ajax) weren't able to go home for Christmas because they are expecting a baby any second now, and I mean any second! she's been in labor since yesterday, and the last I heard about 4 hours ago it was only going to be another couple of hours. This kid is stubborn already! It's a boy, and they have named him Joshua. I can't tell you how excited I am for this little one to get here. I can't wait to go see him tomorrow. I spent last weekend with them in Ajax, and we didn't do much (of course). We just sat around and watched movies (Happy Feet, and The Guardian).

Work is going well, but I am in the process of leaving in a couple of weeks (yes again). I hate leaving a job almost as much as starting a new job.

Not much else to say really. Thomas was in town last week, and we went out a few times. He's doing extremely well.

My cousin Chris who is now officially in the navy, is in Montreal doing basic training for the next 4 months. He's not allowed to leave for the first month, but after that I'm sure he'll be down here to Toronto. I'm looking forward to seeing him.

That's all folks, cheers.

The weekend

Hi all,

What are you doing this weekend? I find myself living for the weekends these days. I am heading out to The Beer Festival tonight. If you've never been, then I highly recommend it. I've gone the past few years. Last year was the best as we managed to meet an entire hockey team. Left the festival quite drunk since they kept giving us tokens. We'll have to chug tonight as we'll only have a couple of hours. You know what will happen then. We'll end up at a club or bar as usual. Who wants to go home at 8pm on a Friday night? Things will just be getting started! I checked the music listings and nothing really sparked my interest, so may just pop into the usual spot for a drink (Horseshoe Tavern).

Tomorrow it's off to the Hot and Spicy Festival with Hugh. I'm looking forward to it of course. Hopefully the festival is better than last years.

Sunday I'll watch my Corrie early in the morning, and then I'm off to go kayaking in Toronto Harbour. It's through Linkup, but Tracey is going. Should be fun! I've been wanting to rent one for awhile now since I'm thinking of purchasing a kayak. It's been years since I've been in a kayak, so I don't even know if I'll still like it. If so then I can keep one down at the boat club (BPYC) at no extra charge.

That's all for this weekend. Next weekend I'm heading out to Rick and Patty's in Ajax for the day on Saturday. We'll probably watch a flick, and he has mentioned making his famous corn beef hash (don't ask). Next Sunday I'm hoping to get together with Liz. I'd love to play a game of golf. I'll suggest it and see what she thinks. I haven't seen or talked to her in ages.

Cheers all,
Ang

How hot is too hot?

I think this past weekend has been too hot! I'm not complaining though! the heat is all good.

Didn't do what I wanted to this weekend. I wanted to spend it sailing, but we went to start up the boat yesterday and the battery was dead. That's what I get for not starting the motor the past few weeks. So of course it needs to charge for atleast 24 hours. I ended up just chilling down at the boat club with some wine, and good friends. All in all not a bad time at all!! Today we didn't get out either. I ended up in Oshawa at the Harley Davidson dealership, and then a couple of malls to look for some shoes. Got a cute pair of shoes, and an orange skirt.

My friends Martin and Nikki are coming over from England in a couple of weeks. We're heading up to North Bay, and going to the Heritage Festival (Stompin' Tom!), and also going to a friend's friends 70th birthday party. I can wear my orange skirt as everyone has been instructed to wear something orange.

Went to the film festival recruitment session last week. I signed up for 6 theatre shifts. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. As usual I over do it. It's always a good time though, and hopefully I'll manage to catch some great films... two words for you "Brad Pitt"! rumour is he may make an appearance. Keep it on the down low though as it's just a rumour.

Back to work tomorrow. I am dreading it! don't know why. I have a Coronation Street gathering to look forward to on Tuesday, and then I'm heading to Hugh's Room to see Martyn Joseph on Wednesday. Then Saturday I'm off to the Highland of Durham Games in Uxbridge. It's my favourite festival of the year so there's lots to look forward to.

Take care all, and have a good week. I'll try to type more often so these don't get so long.
